Pub 26– The Roost (Maynooth Kildare)
Pub #26 is The Roost Maynooth Kildare (Visited March 2022)
The Roost Maynooth is a cracking spot. We were in and out of here a few times on our day trip to Maynooth. To be fair each pub on main street was a decent stop off. We were here for a quick pint when we landed and back a few hours later for a good helping. The Guinness was sensational each time. No problems with the pints of Beer either, nice and crispy. Extra points if a pub has Peroni on tap which The Roost had, always a good thing! One of the crew hit the cocktails and I’m told they dish up a mean espresso martini.
On the food front, we stuffed the Turkey and Ham dinner into our beaks and it didn’t disappoint. The pub itself is a comfortable spot with a mix of age groups, good atmosphere and very solid service from the staff on the floor and behind the bar.
An interesting fact lifted from their website. Throughout the years the Roost has had a great connection with Rugby and G.A.A. as the main attractions several of our customers have represented both Ireland at an International Rugby Level and at University level for the All Blacks of New Zealand.
Overall Maynooth was very good to us. Four top spots, we really enjoyed The Roost.
We will be back to Maynooth to lock in the remaining pubs shortly in round 2 for now its…
On to the next town

We have been through the doors of over 400 fine establishments in the past 11 or so months. We will be giving considerable time to this website in the coming weeks to get each and every one of them up here. As well as the ones we are taking in as we go.
Luv the roost
