Location & History

Pub 55 is The Harp in Swords. (Pub now closed and relaunched as K67) The Harp was located on North Street, Swords, North County Dublin.

The Pub
The Harp Swords is huge. There are 3 levels. The upstairs is usually closed these days(used to be monumentally busy in the early to mid 2000’s) but the downstairs is still a decent size. There’s a nightclub below ground level that is now closed but occasional parties and events are held there.

Out the back there’s a decent covered beer garden with screens for watching the sport, football, racing, rugby or whatever’s on that day.
If you are looking for a place to stay or fancy booking a room for a party, have a gander at the Carnegie Court Hotel that is attached.

The Grub
They do a stellar carvery on a Sunday. Definitely get down and get it into your beak if you are floating about the vicinity. The braised beef and the steak are absolutely sensational as well.

The Pints
Pints wise, the bar is the place to go for your Guinness. We’ve had some serious pints there. Grand across the board but definitely hit the bar for the stout. They do a nice Irish coffee as well.

We will be posting the rest of our Swords pubs and pints over the next week or so. Best pint/pub still to come!
