Our tour around every pub in Ireland takes us to Ashbourne County Meath. Pub 29 is Fox’s Den on the main street.
This is a nice relaxed spot. There is a nice bit of red brick going on inside. If you like your trad music, thereare regular trad sessions here. Keep an eye on their Facebook page. The great thing about Ashbourne is that there is a clutch of pubs all within a couple of minutes of each other on the main street. Perfect conditions for a little pub crawl.
Always extra points for any pub that has a dart board. The Fox’s Den has pool tables and a dart board as well as an outside heated area.
The Guinness on the day was good. No manky taste just a good solid pint of plain, so we won’t complain (Which we never do to be fair)
If you are looking for a dartboard in Ashbourne, a game of pool and a solid pint of Guinness, The Fox’s Den is the place to go.
