O’ Riadas (Parliment Street, KIlkenny)
Location & History
We have landed at O’Riada on Parliment Street Kilkenny. The pub went on the market in 2023 and recently went sale agreed (As of Jan 2024)
The Pub
This is part of a solid hat trick of cracking pubs right on top of each other. O’Riada, Pumphouse and Cleeres are a fairly sensational trio to hop between. O’Riada is a bit of an old-man pub. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s great craic. When we were in there was a gas aul lad at the bar talking absolute marbles, gas character which is what great pubs like this are about. Great atmosphere in a lovely old school bar.
The bar service was exceptional. It’s a nice cosy little pub with a cracking little spot down the back with a stove.
The Grub
There wasn’t any on the go when we popped by, but who needs grub when the pints of Guinness & Smithwicks on offer in here are as sensational as they are. If you are peckish, grab a bag of Tayto 🙂
The Pints
Had a fair few in here. Kilkenny a wonderful place, so much more to it than the touristy spots everyone bangs on about
