Pub 1 – J.W Sweetman (Dublin City)

Pub #1 is J.W Sweetman (Visited February 2022)

Pub 1 J.W Sweetman

Top spot, solid service, solid pint of Guinness.

JW Sweetman is in a handy location, Situated on Burgh Quay right beside the Liffey. Their site at 1&2 Burgh Quay dates back as far as 1808. Housed inside this 19th century building is a microbrewery, a pub and a restaurant.

The head brewer at Sweetmans is Rob Hopkins. Rob trained in New York and he currently brews up a range of tasty and popular Craft Beers including Pale Ale, Red Ale, Weizz, Blonde, Porter, Stout and a selection of Seasonal Brews. Find out more on their website

Inside the pub itself there is plenty on tap. We got stuck into some Guinness & Corrs. The Guinness was bang on the button. Fancy a bit of food? No fannying around with menus here, there’s a qr code card on each table that brings up the full menu on your phone when scanned.

JW Sweetmans is a comfy spot with a smoking/seated area outside, the aforementioned craft brews if thats your thing and a nice pint of Guinness. Definitely worth a visit.
