Pub 50 and the first milestone. We decided to pick one of our favorite spots to mark it. We are in Jackies Bar Dublin 8. Jackie’s is a 90s-themed bar that you will find on Francis Street in Dublin. This is a cracking spot. If you are looking for a bit of 90s nostalgia this is the place to be hitting.

The interior is plastered with some staples of the 90s. From movie pics, Jack Charlton’s Ireland, cartoons, tv shows and more. There’s some cracking signage like the Xtravision sign, the MTV logo, old radios and things like that knocking about the place as well.

There is a friendly relaxed buzz about the place. The staff are sporting some old-school Ireland tops and the tunes as you might guess are all from the 90s. We were in during the day so we got a good helping of indie/rock belters. We had a chat with one of the barmen and he was saying on the weekend nights there’s a bit more of a mix with the likes of the Spice Girls and other pop bands of the 90s pumping out throughout the night. They host regular quizzes which seem to be cheat-proof (it’s all done from within an app we were told)

Drinks wise – The Guinness was decent, the beer was crispy and the cocktails went down well. Check out their drinks menu, it has some cracking 90s themed cocktails on it.

Like our love of pubs and pints, we also love the 90s. So it’s a Beir Bua for Jackies from us.

Jackies 90s bar is a solid spot that is well worth a visit.
We have a huge backlog of pubs to post so they will be coming thick and fast over the next few weeks
