Pub 46 is Buck Mulligans on George’s Street Lower, Dún Laoghaire. This is the last pub on the Dun Laoghaire leg of the tour. It is an absolutely cracking spot and it would probably be first on our list next time we are in town. So let’s head inside and have a look.
Plenty of decent rock tunes on when we popped by. Bit of Guns n Roses when we landed and more belters followed. The front area of the pub has a large pull-down screen. There are stools with barrels for tables which is pretty cool as well as a setup for live music. When you walk through to the back area you are met with some nice lighting, comfy couches, and seats (see pics) The graphics on the walls are pretty cool too.
Live Music is a big thing at Buck Mulligans. With handpicked artists live at the venue both during the week and every weekend. They put on a weekly open mic as well.
Cracking pint of Guinness in here, it’s going to run Mcloughlin’s very close for best pint on our visit to Dun Laoghaire. If you are into Staropramen they have it on tap here along with a very decent selection of beers and crafts. We are all about the pints but if you fancy a cocktail you are covered here.
Buck Mulligans Dublin is a cracking pub and it might just get the nod for best pub in Dun Laoghaire.
