Pub 24 McMahon’s (Maynooth, Kildare)
You will find Mcmahons Maynooth on main street. It was the second of the 4 pubs in the town that we hit.
Like each of the pubs we hit in the town, the staff were bang on. Very friendly and helpful. This is another spot dishing up nice grub as well.
McMahons is owned by Jimmy Mc Mahon a native of Mulhussey, Maynooth. Jimmy emigrated to the Big Apple in 1986 at the age of 17, and is well known for his contribution to Irish boxing where he continued boxing turning professional under the guise of Teddy Atlas who also took former boxer Mike Tyson under his wing. McMahons has a sister bar in the USA McMahons and Rodgers.
On the pint front, The Guinness was ok. Definetly didn’t blow the wig off. One of the crew was on the beer and it was crispy – no complaints. Inside there are plenty of screens for sport, there’s a handy beer garden and a decent cocktail menu if you are into that sort of thing
