Pub 42 – P. McCormacks (Dun Laoghaire)
Pub #42 is P. McCormack & Sons (Visited April 2022)
We have landed at Pub 42, P. McCormack & Sons on Mounttown Road Dun Laoghaire.
The McCormack family have been in the business of dishing up some decent food and drink since 1960. P. McCormacks & Sons in Dun Laoghaire is up off the main street and about a 15 minute walk. It’s a big pub with plenty of little nooks and crannies. There is plenty of seating. The stained glass windows are pretty cool as well.
They do a nice bit of grub. There’s a mix of light dishes, pub-style meals and bistro meals if you are feeling peckish. It’s a nice spot for families to come for a bite to eat. There were quite a lot of families in when we popped by.
The pints of Guinness we had in here hit the spot nicely. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere about the place. Busy but relaxed if that makes any sense.
Overall P. McCormacks is a solid spot for a relaxed pint and a bit of grub and also a good place to go when the rugby is on.
We are over half way through our mini tour of Dun Laoghaire. The remaining few pubs will be posted over the next couple of days
